About Our Practice

Established in 1958 by Dr. Emil Kuhn, Florissant Animal Hospital has been caring for small animals for 49 years.

Currently only 12% of animal hospitals in the entire country are AAHA accredited. Florissant Animal Hospital has been accredited for 47 consecutive years undergoing rigorous audits to maintain our accreditation. In 1972 the Veterinary Economics hospital design committee chose this hospital as Hospital of the Year. We have also been voted the #1 veterinary hospital in North County.

In 1984 Dr. Emil Kuhn sold the practice to Dr. James Kuhn. Presently Florissant Animal Hospital is staffed by 6 veterinarians and 30 support staff. Services offered include small animal and exotic medicine and surgery, in house laboratory, radiology, ultrasound, dentistry, ear cropping, boarding, and grooming.

We are Florissant's only full service animal hospital. We take all emergencies during regular hours. After hour emergency services are provided by the Animal Emergency Clinic.
